Good morning to all, east and west.
Brian Spector’s Letter to the Editor, published on April 17, has hit the nail on the head and I am delighted that he wrote his letter.
I agree with Brian Spector 100 percent. I fully support his stand and his integrity.
Unfortunately, it would appear that time and talent do not count for much anymore.
And it would appear that the Regional Councils were set up without consulting with — or informing — the SU Alumni Association president and his Board of Directors in advance. Did someone in the administration conveniently forget to do so? One could assume that possibly the chancellor and Board of Trustees wish to push into a corner or do away with the alumni clubs and the “Little guys and gals”. Do only big donors count?
And yes, there was an alumni board member (president at the time I believe) on the search committee for Chancellor Buzz Shaw.
Why is there not an SU Alumni Association board member on this new chancellor search committee?
Draw your own conclusions!
