No. 12 Syracuse (8-3, 5-2 Atlantic Coast) got thumped, 36-3, by No. 3 Notre Dame (11-0) on Saturday at Yankee Stadium. Behind quarterback Ian Book, the Irish offense built a 20-0 halftime lead while the UND defense smothered an Eric Dungey-less SU offense.
