Syracuse to face South Carolina in program’s 1st game at Barclays Center

Syracuse will face South Carolina at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York in December 2016, CBS Sports’ Jon Rothstein tweeted Saturday morning.
This will be the Orange’s first-ever game at the Barclays Center, which opened in 2012. The 2017 and 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference tournament will be played there, as well.
The Orange has scheduled nonconference games in New York City in the past few seasons since leaving the Big East, but those matchups have been played at Madison Square Garden. This year, SU will play St. John’s at MSG on Dec. 13.
Syracuse is 3-1 all-time against the Gamecocks.
