Rachel Teslak wins CHA Defenseman of the Week award

Rachel Teslak was named College Hockey Association’s Defenseman of the Week, the league announced on Monday.
Teslak, a graduate student, is in her first season with the Orange and has helped the SU penalty kill unit. The Orange killed off all seven of RPI’s power play opportunities in the two-game weekend series. Teslak also tallied the first goal of her Syracuse career in the second game of the home-and-home series.
This is the first CHA weekly award for Teslak. Syracuse has now won at least one award in each of the first three weeks of the season.
