Mike Bosch signs multi-year contract extension with Syracuse
After leading Syracuse to its first winning season since 2012, Orange head coach Mike Bosch signed a multi-year contract extension with Syracuse, SU Athletics announced Tuesday. Terms of the deal were not revealed.
“Mike has earned this extension,” Syracuse Director of Athletics John Wildhack said in a statement. “His commitment to maximizing our student-athlete’s experience and potential in the classroom and on the diamond fits our department’s philosophy.”
Bosch, who spent three seasons with the team as an assistant coach from 2013-2015, was named Syracuse’s interim head coach in June last year. Two months later, he was appointed the head coach position. He led the Orange to a 27-26 record in his first year at the helm in 2016.
In March, Syracuse won its first game against a nationally ranked team in more than two years when it beat No. 19 Notre Dame.
