Syracuse lost to Maryland 10-8 in Friday night’s NCAA tournament semifinal. Despite pulling within two, the Orange were unable to trim the lead further because Maryland held the ball for the final seven minutes of the game. After the game ended, fans took to social media to discuss the lack of a shot clock in women’s lacrosse, which helped allow the Terps to hold the ball until the end of the game.
