Syracuse University’s Undergraduates for a Better Education (UBE) student group is back on campus and is conducting a survey to understand what can improve undergraduate students’ academic experience. It will be open March 18-29, and can be taken at www.surveymonkey.com/s/UBE.
We are working closely with the SU administration to receive feedback on advising, course availability and instruction. Results of the survey will be analyzed and presented to the administration in order to help the university understand changes that students want made.
Students are too often afraid to speak up and voice their concerns; it is time to change that thought. Students need to realize that they are consumers of their education, and they have the right to demand an excellent product from this university.
Undergraduates for a Better Education was originally formed at Syracuse in 1986 and conducted its last campus-wide survey in 2005. Shortly after, the student organization left campus. Working closely with the public affairs department, UBE came back to campus this year to continue helping students at Syracuse.
UBE urges students to take this survey and let their voices be heard.
With change in mind,
Emily Ballard
President of UBE
